BRIGHT FUTURE is a new project by lo-fi electronic artist Frank Midnite from Brooklyn, NY. He was previously a member of Nursery and Poison Diamonds and has also released solo work under his own name. The EP I want to introduce to you here, THIS IS OUR TIME, is actually a five song outtake of his solo album Blue//Black.

As you may have observed when clicking the play button to the track above, Frank Midnites tunes are italo-disco infused electronic music with a hint of post-punk, citing Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees and New Order as influences. I hope that if you take a listen to “Never Change Casey” above this post you will instantly fall in love, just like I did.

If that doesn’t do it for you, you should take a listen at his cover of David Lynch’s “Good Day Today” or his remix of Blackbird Blackbird’s “Hawaii”. Or the other tracks for that matter.
