It’s been more than a year since I came across Février’s Empress EP. I remember exactly what it felt like, listening to Connor Etges music for the first time. It was unlike anything I had listened to before. Since then I have been keeping a close eye on everything he released (including drawings of opossums) and watched him deservedly gain a lot of listeners.

Février put out a full length called The Lover in September, which I didn’t get to write about since I was taking a break, but I’ll make up for that right now. Follow-up EP Winter Hearts was released yesterday and I really recommend getting a copy on bandcamp. The EP was recorded during the winter and features six new tracks, plus a cover and a remix. It’s the combination of organic percussion, experimental melodies and Connor’s vocals that make listening to Février such a unique experience.
